Let's go Shopping!

Speaking of shopping in the city, the new shopping mall that has opened (ok not that new anymore) next to Hardy Brothers on Hay Street in the city looks damn flashy. I especially love the fancy spoon flower in the food court at the Asian Food outlet.

Factorie - Carillion City

I went to the city with Robbie today to look for the shop Pigeonhole however it is closed on Sundays! Whilst window shopping, we found this shop called Factorie - it's probably been there for awhile but I just saw it today.. but you can get pretty casual colourful tees for $14.95 for guys and girls! Great for Summer! I decided to get some for Mum since her birthday is coming up!

X-rayted 2009

I had my Medical Imaging ball on Friday night at the Rivervale near burswood and the theme was black&white. Unlimited drinks for 2.5 hours and the place was nicely decorated with black and white helium balloons and skeleton cardboard cutouts hanging on the walls. There was a little stage set up for the dancefloor and everyone was up and dancing on there!

Robbie & I won the cutest couple prize which consisted of $20 Myer gift voucher, a bar of chocolate, 2 scratchies and 2 condoms. I won $4 with one of my scratchies! yay!

My new dress!

I have a ball/function for my course, Medical Imaging coming up tomorrow. They called it 'X-rayted' and the theme is black&white and the fourth years (soon-to-be-graduates) get to dress in colours cause they're special! Anyways, I have a few black frocks in my closet but I decided to go to the shops to look around for something new, something different. This is what I found:


I love my new dress, it's from Forever New. Love that shop! Fits right into the theme! The bottom bit is like square-shaped.

I got a feeling that tonights gonna be a good night!

Yen and I attended the Black Eyed Peas concert on Saturday which rocked. There were soo many people, apparently 16,500, it was packed as.


They started the with "Let's get it started" and sang songs like Don't Phunk with my Heart and My humps.

There was one time, when one of them flew down onto the stage. Fergie did like one handed cartwheels and there was back flips by Apl.de.ap as well.

I really liked the songs from the Duchess; Big girls don't cry, Fergalicious and Glamorous.

The best part of the concert was when Will.i.am rose on a podium with a DJ set and asked "Is it alright if I turn this arena into a club?" and they played songs like Estelle’s American Boy, Michael Jackson’s Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough and Thriller, House of Pain’s Jump Around and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Slide. Everyone was up and dancing!


After a few more songs like, Pump it, where is the love and Boom boom Pow a guy came on stage and whispered to the Black Eyed Peas and said they performed late and had to get off the stage. So they left and everyone was just stomping their feet and screamed for more.

They came back eventually and sang Party all the time and was waiting for I gotta feeling!

GO3 expo 2009 - Asia Pacific Cosplay Competition

I went to see the Cosplay Competition at the GO3 Expo on Saturday but didn't bring my camera so I decided to go again on Sunday and try out my new 50mm lens. First pic of me with the winner of the Cosplay Competition, 'Iron Man'. He was the winner in Singapore and flew to Perth to compete and won as well! His costume was made with fibreglass and weighs 20 kilos. It looks pretty snazzy.
This second pic is with my favourite group the 'Tra-la-la', they won best group on the first day (Saturday) however they didn't win on Sunday although I think they deserved to. The other group that won wasn't that good.

It's show time! Smoke-free Perth Royal Show 2009

I wasn't planning on going to the Perth Royal Show this year because it's kinda the same thing each year and the showbags aren't all that special however Robbie's little sister Monica wanted to go because she missed out last year due to the flu. Anyhoos, I bought two adult tix and a child and it was equivalent to a family pass so Monica brought her friend Mikayla with her. That turned out to be a good thing for Monica because I don't think she would've sat on half the rides that she did if Mikayla wasn't there. Overall, it was a good day and the weather was really nice.

The petting zoo! There were alpacas, dogs, goats, rabbits, chooks, guinea pigs, ferrets, turkey...and more!
I love this cat! When the owner tapped his own shoulder the cat would leap (pretty far) onto the owner! Look at its eyes, ones blue and ones brown, Beautiful!

Chicken and corn soup

How to make chicken and corn soup

Ingredients:

• 100g chicken mince
• 420g cream corn
• 3 cups water
• 4 cloves garlic - chopped
• chicken stock
• pinch of salt&pepper
• 1 beaten egg

Method:

1. Pan fry garlic and chicken mince until cooked.
2. Pour water in and stir in cream corn and salt&pepper and chicken stock.
3. Boil, turn off heat and gradually stir in egg.

Bunny Exercise

I have the world's laziest bunny ever. Half the time I see it lying down and the other half, it's eating. Anyways, it was a nice sunny day outside so I decided to take my bunny for a run in the backyard. Take it out, place it on the lawn and it just sits there.

After I decided to take it back in because it's fur was getting a bit warm and place it in his playpen and first thing he does, Lies DOWN!!!

Hmmm it's been awhile since I've last blogethed. I wanted to do some restaurant reviews but I forgot to bring my camera....so maybe later. ANyhoos... I decided to decorate my Nokia e63 with some rhinestones that my brother bought for me from taiwan and I thought it'd be easy.... but it really didn't turn out all that well....


If you look closely you can see where I've started and stopped and started again...ew
and the sides are crappy.. they don't align and if i cover it all, I won't be able to remove the back piece.
It looks alright from a far far distance...i suppose... or like close your eyes.

I haven't worked on the front just yet. Not sure if I should actually continue... Maybe I should just purchase a rhinestone case!Found this casing on ebay!!! I WANT!!! Isn't beautiful??!!
