How I spent valentines

So Robbie decided to trek all over Australia from Orange to Sydney to Noosa to Brisbane to Orange to Canberra and desserting me on the most important day of the year!!! Okay, Valentines doesn't mean all that much to me but yesh didn't spend it with my Roberto!! What I did do was make some valentine gifts for Rob's family from just stuff at home. I made cards, lil' chocolate bars wrapped up in cellophane and some flowers from the garden!) Look at my artwork!!

Later at night went to watch "He's just not that into you" with Sabina. I really liked the movie, it was hilarious. The movie is based on a self-improvement book written by Greg Behrendt which basically tells you the signs whether he's into you or not. I would recommend it :) It stars quite a lot of famous actors/actresses. And damn there were a lot of valentine couples at the movies haha.

My heart goes out to all the people involved in the Victorian Bushfires.

The death toll currently confirmed with 173 however expected to increase through the day. 1000 homes destroyed and 5000 people left homeless. Such sadness, loss and destruction I can't even begin to comprehend.

Donations can be made by phoning 1800 811 700 or http://www.redcross.org.au/. Alternatively, Woolworths is collecting donations this week and Coles are selling hot cross buns with proceeds going towards red cross.

Australians has raised over 75 million which is amazing, it's so good to see everyone lending a hand in a situation like this.

Snowflake and Hair Extensions

First of all, I can't get enough of my cute rabbit. He is soooo adorable!!! So i just have to post random pictures of him!!

Secondly, I got hair extensions!!!! I was going to go all blonde, and decided against it... and then I wanted highlights and wasn't sure if I'll like it so I went those hair extension clip things!!!!! So i bought a couple of purple ones and here are the results!

They're real human hair! and you just clip it on and voila! You can curl and it and wash it as well and remove it whenever you like! Quite neat I must say!

Turning 21

It really wasn't a big deal to me, but I felt obliged to organise something for my 21st just because I was socially bullied into thinking I must. So like 2 weeks before my birthday I decided to chuck a small gathering with a random theme that Rob thought of and I was like, what the heck, why not?

For my actual birthday I was working at Shenton Park Hospital but they sent me home at lunch time which was really nice because I spent that time shopping for dress for dinner that night. Rob and I went to Witches Cauldron, a restaurant known for its famous garlic prawns so we decided to try them.

I also tried the lamb fillets which was simply delicious while Rob wanted to be a real man and ordered a 750gram steak which makes me sick just with the thought of it. He wanted to finish it all but I persuaded him otherwise. That's like gaining almost a kilo from eating that meal... that is disgusting!!!

I wanted to have a barbeque for my birthday and I even went and bought a barbeque but in the end I didn't end up cooking that much of the food because I wanted to spend time with everyone instead of cooking. Rob helped cook for awhile but I could tell he wanted to play his Guitar hero! Anyhoos, I was inspired by the food preparation at Jasmine's place last time, so I attempted ... to make and arrange my own food. Ta ddaa!!!~`

That was all I really had time for really. I ran around all day getting ready for the party I was pretty much worn out by 7pm. I hope there was enough food for everyone = \. My pirate themed party, I just thought it'd be fairly easy for everyone to find black and white clothes, while big w supplied hats and eye patches from 84 cents! I loved how everyone made an effort to dress up :) THANKS!!! Some pictures from the party :)

Got to enjoy the night by playing Guitar Hero and Singstar, bit different from your typical party but I had fun :) Just want to say thanks to everyone that came and I loved all the presents :D

Lunch ideas

I have been working at Royal Perth Shenton Park Hospital for the past two weeks for clinical placement! Hence the lack of entries because I have no life!! Anyways due to my slave labour, I haven't been earning any money which kinda sucks when I'm meant to be saving up for my Sydney trip which is coming up, hurray! So I've been trying to make lunch everyday except I am not very creative and ended up making sandwiches for a week and being very sick of sandwiches! Then I made spaghetti bolognaise and ate it for dinner twice and for lunch so I didn't want to have it anymore. Tomorrow I am having 2 minute cup noodles and a peach!

Things I would like to try and make, although I am probably too lazy:

Another project I would like to start is my own organic garden because I have been talking to my work colleagues and many of them plant a variety of fruit and vegetables. I want to grow strawberries, tomatoes, lettuce, herbs, etc, etc!!!

Some of my favourite fruits!! Cherries, Strawberries and Blueberries!! The blueberries were $2 a punnett yesterday, they sold quickly, gone by evening! If you add vanilla yoghurt - it's damn delicious!!!

Fondue for two

I seem to be just blogging bout food these days haha.. My Fondue set from Jia for chrissy!! Who can resist melted chocolate with strawberries and marshmellows dipped in it!!?

The chocolate is heated by a little tealight candle. Mmm cadbury :D

Happy New year!! haha bit late, well just posting rabbit pictures and playing with my new rabbit!!!! HE IS SOOO ADORABLE!!!! For new years, we were going to go to watch the fireworks on the foreshore but Robbie was busy painting his rooms with his Dad so we ended up camping in my backyard!!! haha..with a tent and watched a movie with my laptop!! and on new year's day went to Jasmine's BBQ at her house! Man the food was so nicely prepared that i took piccies, oh and there was a platter with crackers & cheese, crackers & salmon and crackers & tuna.

Hurrahh!!! Finally the day has come and I got to take home my little snowflake! I haven't bought a carrier yet so it came in a box!

Weee!! Look how tiny it is!! 7 and a half weeks old!!!

At first it didn't dare to climb up the ramp and we put it at the top floor and it was running and it didn't realise the ramp was there so it fell halfway down the ramp!!! Poor bunny!! but after that lesson, it could run up and down the ramp easily!

I love it when it lies down all stretched out!! So adorable!!!

Meet Snowflake!!!!

Weee, I got pictures of my baby bunny!!! I get to pick it up on Friday morning (2nd Jan)!! I can't wait!! Gonna go shopping for the rest of the bunny accessories today!! It looks like a white rabbit at the moment, but as it gets older the nose and the ears will get slightly greyer. It looks like it has blue eyes!!

Merry Christmas everyone

At Robbie's house, it's a hungarian tradition to open pressies on Christmas Eve. But before all that...I had to work in the morning until 1pm and right after work we had a Christmas Lunch and ate KFC and miss maud sandwiches. Took a couple of funny work pics and had a secret santa gift exchange. I got a ratatoulie DVD and Robbie got a torch.

For dinner, we ate hungarian food at Robbie's and opened presents!!!!!! Look at all the presents under the tree! It was very exciting!@! I got a rayban sunnies!!! new clutch/bag, chocolates, top, braclet, key holder and perfume!!

After Dinner, Weif was chucking bbq at her house which was pretty awesome :)!!

Snowflake notebook

From the limited craft materials I have available in my home on Christmas Island, I have made a rainbow notepad!! The cover is made from scraps of leftover gift wrap, decorated with snowflakes punched out from coloured pieces of paper. The rainbow coloured paper were connected by red ribbons.
