I always found playing around with words rather interesting but seriously, incompetent. I mean seriously...when are we going to use these so-called word plays in our lives unless you're like some writer or something. But then again so much things in life is rather inept , I guess useless things get us through the day and whatever makes you happy and sleep better at night wouldn't really hurt anyone (unless it hurts someone).
Yes so...instead of studying my lovely physics which I have nearly finshd one chapter of outta 6 I decided to look up weird funky words.
Check this out...the word tattarrattat is the longest palindrome in the Oxford English Dictionary. It means a tap on the door!~
Ambigrams are coOl too, its like the flipping of words or characters to get a different meaning or jush the same or wateva.
Like this one here "lower-case abbreviation for "Down", dn, which looks like the lower-case word up " (rotate it) how awesome does that look.
Newman, the logo for the French clothes manufacturer ...it looks like NeWMaN upside down... yerh.
Then the list goes on with Oxymorons, Puns, Anagrams, rhetorics, apronyms, backronyms and spoonerisms. AHhh there's heaps more.
Here's a spoonerism I like, "It is kisstomary to cuss the bride". Spoonerism is also known as the slip of the tongue or the tip of the slung. :P mixes words n phrases around. Pretty awesome.
